Toronto based Barbara Klunder has produced a lively body of work speaking of her past year through painted moments and symbols. This exhibition is comprised primarily of small (8 x 10") paintings that are at first glance landscapes; further investigation reveals underlying symbolism and possibilities.

Known for her work as an illustrator and typographer, Klunder has never shied way from a creative challenge. She has worked with textiles, ceramics, jewellery, murals, and made sculpture from found objects, etc. Her bold use of colour, wit, and political savvy has been appreciated by many throughout her energetic career.

Klunder's
current exhibition shows yet another side of this extraordinarily creative individual that clearly enjoys Toronto and it's Island as well as the process of art making.
